XMAS Deposit Account, update
As you may know, hundreds of members have an XMAS Deposit Account. It's a very handy way of saving for Christmas without interfering with loan security or insurance entitlements. Funds can be directed to the account using the usual Payroll Deduction Form.
We have written to all XMAS Deposit Account holders informing them that the rate of interest on the account has reduced from .25% per annum to .1% per annum with effect from 21 July. This reflects the low returns available to the credit union on the funds it invests.
