The credit union now offers electronic funds transfer (EFT) to members.This works as follows:
- New loans can be transferred directly into a members bank account.
- Withdrawals from a members shares/ XMAS deposit account can also be transferred directly into a members bank account.
- Members can use the online banking facility on this web site (members secure area) to transfer up to 1,000 a day from their shares/ XMAS deposit accounts, pay bills etc.
- Online banking can also be used from your smart phone using the credit union phone app. Download the app from the Apple App Store or from Google Play.
- All member accounts have their own unique BIC/ IBAN code - this means that funds can be transferred easily and directly into their credit union accounts. Your BIC/IBAN is printed on your regular credit union statement.
- Members can set up a standing order from their bank account to transfer regular amounts to their credit union loan or shares or both.
And the future?
The credit union is likely to introduce direct debits - a more efficient version of the traditional bank standing order.The credit union staff are always available if you need any assistance in relation to electronic payments.
